after 1 year of use every day in all types of weather and terrain I can 100% say they were worth the price and treated my feet very well in adverse conditions. It's a heavier boot but very durable.
it has very good ankle support as every time i almost rolled or twisted my ankle the boot saved me especially when I would be running around with 100+lbs of kit. The heel support is also very good.
These boots are very comfortable to be walking and standing around for long periods of time especially when carrying alot of heavy stuff.
The goretex for my specific boots were "Ok" , you can stand in about ankle height before water slowly seeps in, but for goretex boots they were fairly breathable but your feet would get a little too warm in the hot summer days.
Being goretex boots drying them out usually takes a day or two even. There was one issue with the goretex in my right boot specifically in which a wet spot would develop on my anke and look odd when my feet would sweat, but didn't seem to effect the functionality.
The boots have some nice functionality like the lace clips and the little pocket on the tongue to easily tuck away the tied laces. the hard rubber toe cap was great for protecting your toes from Any blunt force trauma. You could kick a concrete post real hard and hardly feel it or if you drop something moderately heavy on it.
Overall these were the best boots I've ever worn, were great in the field, Durable, will keep your feet warm and a little breathable so your feet won't sweat a whole lot after extended use and will protect your feet from many types of Injury.
Got these when they were just rolling out and reccomended to me by a store employee, to which that employee gave alot of very good recommendation of other things that would work well for me based on what I Said I was looking for.
