Purchasing Administrator

As we continue to evolve and grow across Canada, we are looking for a new Administrative Assistant for our Calgary purchasing team.

What do you need to succeed in this role?
· Solid communication and organizational skills.
· The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Comfort with the Microsoft Office suite and ERP or other procurement systems.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· 2+ years of procurement experience (a combination of education and experience may be considered).
· Good time management skills.
· The ability to stay on top of shifting priorities.
Bonus skills:
· Experience in retail or customer service.
· Category Management experience.
· Familiarity with our products and customer groups.
· A working knowledge of French.
What’s the job?
This position will be responsible for:
- Procurement Coordination – working with other departments and making sure purchasing activities align with business needs.
- Vendor Management – helping the Purchasers to manage current and identify potential vendors.
- Order Management – submitting and tracking orders, focusing on On-Time and In-Full deliveries, and managing invoices.
- Record Keeping – keeping accurate records of all purchasing activities, managing & updating database info, and working with Marketing to make sure web info is accurate.
- Inventory Management – monitoring stock levels, making sure adequate inventory is on hand, and assisting with counts.
We also want our staff to be cross-trained in other departments, so you’ll get to know the rest of the staff and what they all do here. You don’t have to know it all; just be willing to learn every day.

Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is $46,000-58,000/year, plus benefits.
