The Gamma SL Anorak is a Superlight, breathable softshell pullover providing weather protection for a variety of high output operational scenarios and environments. Four-way stretch fabric is abrasion resistant and treated with DWR, delivering a garment that offers high mobility and light wind and rain/snow protection within an exceptionally lightweight package. The half-zip design makes the Gamma SL Anorak compatible with plate carriers and reduces pressure points against the body while allowing heat regulation and venting. The trim articulated fit moves with the body and reduces bulk, meaning it can be worn easily under a second outer layer. The low-profile adjustable hood provides additional weather protection and the IFF patches on each arm feature V-Lite™ retention loops.

    Good, for the price

For what it is and the quality it is well worth the small cost compared to most Arc items. Don't expect it to be overly water proof, and even though I just got it I foresee frequent DWR treatments. Just be realistic when purchasing that it is absolutely not comparable to a normal goretex shell or even similar to goretex infinium.

Too narrow construction! Height 5' 7'', 149 lbs

    Overall the fabric is stretchy
protects from the wind and has light waterproofing (DWR), but the design of this anorak is rather disappointing.

I always wear medium in my outdoor clothing and this anorak (medium) has a good waist/sleeve length, but the width remained very narrow even with the extension of the fabric.

The bottom opening is not flared as in the photos, which makes it difficult to put on with only a t-shirt and even more so with an intermediate layer.

Arc'teryx also has the bad habit of putting very small pullers on the zipper, which makes it difficult to quickly open pockets with gloves and even without gloves!

Considering that these clothes are technical clothing for the military and that access to objects in the pockets must be simple and quick, Arc'teryx should improve this!

I have other technical Arc'teryx military clothing that I am very satisfied with, but they all have this problem with very small pullers on the zippers.
