Crisis Point Trauma Care will be teaming up with 911 Supply and The Academy in Calgary to offer Stop the Bleed (STB) and Emergency Trauma Care courses (ETCC).
Crisis Point Trauma Care is dedicated and committed to promoting point of injury care by training civilians to become the immediate responder to traumatic events whether it be a motor vehicle collision, an industrial accident, a disaster or an active assailant mass casualty event. Crisis Point Trauma Care will train the public in life threatening bleeding control techniques by using direct pressure, tourniquet placement and wound packing. Our vision is to build community resilience by giving the immediate responder the confidence and skills to help save a life before professional responders arrive on scene. Crisis Point Trauma Care’s mission is to place an emergency bleeding control kit with every Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and to provide the training on how to use the equipment in these kits.

Stop the Bleed Instructor As an Advanced Care Tactical Paramedic working in a large urban center, Shane knows the importance that time plays when responding to life threatening bleeding. Shane has worked within the public safety community for over 20 years with experience in mountain rescue, avalanche forecasting, emergency medical services and tactical medicine.
