    Jr Purchasing Agent

    At 911 Supply, our mission is to ensure that First Responders get the right equipment for the job and get home safe. As we continue to evolve and grow across Canada, we are looking for a new Jr Purchasing Agent based out of our Calgary location.

    There are no evening shifts and the store is closed on statutory holidays. We also try to keep our shifts as flexible as our business will allow.

    What will you be doing?

    This role is responsible for:

    · Making purchasing decisions for your assigned brands.

    · Communicating with suppliers, shipping companies, and brokers.

    · Monitoring and sharing the status of Purchase Orders, shipments, brand ETAs and any other info that fellow co-workers may need to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

    · Using data analysis and research to monitor trends and complete competitive analysis while working with the Purchasing Manager to act appropriately on your findings.

    · Keeping information up-to-date and accurate in our inventory system.

    · Answering phone, email, or in-person queries from co-workers or customers.

    · Learning every day!

    What do you need to succeed in this role?

    · 3+ years of proven success in a similar role (a combination of education and experience may be considered).

    · Solid verbal and written communication skills.

    · Ability to analyze sales data to spot trends.

    · Ability to change priorities quickly.

    · Comfort with the Microsoft Office suite.

    What would be helpful in this role?

    · Category Management experience an asset.

    · Experience in retail and customer service environments.

    · Ability to speak and write fluently in French would be an asset, but is not required.

    Compensation: $47,500-50,000/year.

    Retail Sales Associate

As we continue to evolve and grow across Canada, we are looking for two new Retail Sales Associates based out of our Calgary location.

    What do you need to succeed in this role?

    · 2-4 years of previous top-notch customer service in sales.

    · Previous experience with technical clothing & footwear.

    · Previous experience with tactical equipment.

    · A passion for helping first responders stay safe.

    · Solid listening, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

    · The ability to change priorities quickly.

    · Comfort with the Microsoft Office suite.

    · The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. comfortably and safely, and to stand for long periods of time.

    Bonus skills:

    · Basic working knowledge and comfort with firearms (having a PAL would be helpful).

    · Experience with inventory management software, and

    · Experience dealing with first responder and/or military communities would be an asset.

    What’s the job?

    This position is largely Customer Service focused as you will be working with customers to answer product questions, find the best equipment for their needs, assist with orders, follow up on deliveries, and help post-purchase with warranty, returns, and exchanges. We are looking for someone who knows our products and, ideally, has used them.

    When not actively helping customers, you will be keeping the show room stocked, tidied, and welcoming. We’re very proud of our showroom, so we work daily to keep it clean and sanitized for our customers’ comfort and safety.

    We spend a significant amount of time learning about new and existing product lines. You don’t have to know it all now, just be willing to learn every day.

    Effective communication and teamwork with other departments are critical to our business’ success. You will need to be able to work well with a lot of individuals with different priorities and needs in order to meet your goals, as well as the company’s goals.
