Our task at 911 Supply was simple and specific – Provide a helmet that meets the stringent protection and performance requirements of the DND and its operators. This includes DND Naval Boarding Parties and other units within the DND; the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Emergency Response Teams; and other Federal, Provincial, and Municipal groups.
The choice to run the Team Wendy EXFIL Carbon came as a result of rigorous evaluation, testing, and working closely with Team Wendy to meet the specific needs of the customers. One of the key updates to its EXFIL Carbon helmet was the addition of an enhanced Zorbium foam liner with their CAM-FIT retention system. The CAM-FIT system is a micro-adjustable dial made by BOA that allows the user to dial in perfect adjustment of the helmet. Used in conjunction with the ultra-comfortable Zorbium foam liner and 8 customizable pads, the complete retention system becomes arguably the best system on the market. Comfort improvements aside, the primary role of any helmet is protection. With the EXFIL Carbon. the newly designed Zorbium foam liner exceeds ACH Blunt Impact requirements per AR/PD10-02, 16 Dec 13, transmitting less than half the required G force across multiple impacts in all environmental conditions. Moreover, the EXFIL Carbon now also exceeds the shock absorption requirements of BS EN 1385:2012 (whitewater). The new revisions to the EXFIL Carbon have led to it having the highest amount of blunt force trauma protection of any bump helmet on the market today.
The EXFIL Carbon’s exterior is comprised of a high-strength, lightweight carbon fiber shell. For NVG duty, the helmet features the industry leading two-hole Wilcox W shroud and includes shock cord for securing your night vison devices. The sides of the helmet are adorned with the new EXFIL Rail 2.0 Accessory Kit. The kit is compatible with all EXFIL accessories and features T-slots for custom mounting. As for colors, the helmet is offered black, coyote brown, and MultiCam, with two sizes for ease of procurement: size one (M/L) and size two (XL).
